Missouri Workers Center and Missouri Jobs with Justice are disappointed in Missouri state lawmakers' eleventh-hour decision to buck the will of the people and overturn Missourians' earned paid sick days and annual minimum wage increase cost-of-living adjustments. Workers should continue to accrue and be able to use their earned paid sick days until August 28, 2025 and the minimum wage will still increase to $15 per hour on January 1, 2026.
Proposition A 2024 was overturned by Missouri state lawmakers, but the minimum wage will still increase to $15/hour on January 1, 2026. As of January 1st, 2025 the Missouri minimum wage is $13.75/hour.
