July 2025 Update

Missouri Workers Center and Missouri Jobs with Justice are disappointed in Missouri state lawmakers' eleventh-hour decision to buck the will of the people and overturn Missourians' earned paid sick days and annual minimum wage increase cost-of-living adjustments. Workers should continue to accrue and be able to use their earned paid sick days until August 28, 2025 and the minimum wage will still increase to $15 per hour on January 1, 2026.

Missouri Worker Rights is a joint project of Missouri Jobs with Justice and the Missouri Workers Center to inform workers about our rights at work and to support enforcing these rights. Whether we're Black, white, or Brown, we all want the freedom to thrive, to raise our families, and lead whole lives. But wealthy corporations and certain politicians want to divide us by what we look like or how much is in our wallets so they can take away our freedoms, control our lives, and enrich themselves by exploiting us. It's time we join across all walks of life, tuning out the division they deliberately sow, to fight for our future. Just like we came together to win a statewide $15 minimum wage and guaranteed paid sick days, we'll continue to use our strength in numbers to make Missouri a place that allows each of us to thrive: putting our communities over their corporations.
